What are some good ways to help your throat?

I am a performing arts student with shows and auditions next weekend. I know some things to help me, but need more ideas, Voice rest is not an option for me right now. Thanks!

A year or so ago I totally lost my voice four days before an audition. To combat this, I sucked on cough drops, drank tea with honey, but mostly just drank water constantly... I mean, as in at one point I was drinking just under a gallon and a half of water a day. But make sure to spread that out throughout the whole day and eat enough or that much water can flush too many electrolytes and vitamins out of your system.

In choir, we used to say if you aren't peeing clear every half an hour, you aren't drinking enough water. Good luck, hope this helps.

1 you can take a tequila shot lol it helps trust me or take a teaspoonful of real honey with lemon...
I tried drinking lemon tea with honey and I gargled with light salt water. good luck!
Along with all of the other answers that were given, make sure you keep your throat moist. Try boiling a pot of water and placing your head over the pot with a towel over your head for about 5 to 7 minutes. Also, there is a wonderful powder called Emergin C that you mix with water and it does wonders for your throat.
Two things you can do to help your voice.

1. When ever you can, avoid using it. This includes speaking, clearing your throat and screaming (at a night club or concert). Any sound you make with your voice/throat wears on your vocal chords.

2. Drink TEPID (room temperature) WATER ONLY. Avoid coffee, tea, pop, alchohol, milk and juice. Especially avoid sugary liquids. Ice water isn't good either as it makes your vocal chords brittle.
